Protect your Decorative Concrete Installation
Curing and sealing concrete increases the strength and durability of the concrete surface. The appearance and visual coloration of decorative concrete is greatly enhanced. New colored concrete should be cured with a liquid applied, film-forming curing compound. Curing with plastic sheeting or water spray should never be utilized with colored concrete. Sealing concrete provides economical protection for floors and hardscapes, reducing maintenance costs. It also minimizes the effect of de-icing salts and exposure to gas or oil and discoloration from dirt and spills.
Butterfield Color® manufactures a complete line of decorative concrete curing and sealing products engineered to enhance and protect many types of surfaces and are highly recommended for use with uncolored concrete, integrally colored concrete, and color hardened (shake-on) concrete, stamped or stenciled concrete and cementitious overlays.
Warning: Treated surfaces may be slippery during application prior to drying, and when wet with water or liquids after drying. Concrete should be textured sufficiently to eliminate potential slipping hazards. In addition, use a non-slip additive when sealing. Interior floors may be maintained with a slip resistant wax. Test and confirm that the material is adequately slip resistant prior to opening installation area to any traffic.
Clear Guard® Cure and Seal
- A solvent-based, curing and sealing compound suitable for residential, commerical and municipal concrete surfaces.
- Provides excellent color enhancement and protection for decorative concrete.
- Non-yellowing seal for new and old concrete surfaces.
- Available in 1 gallon (03.8 L) or 5 gallon (19.0 L) pails. 55 gallon (208.2L) drums available with additional lead time.
- As a curing compound approximate coverage is 300 ft2/gal (7.4 m2/L), as a seal a range of 200-300ft2/gal (4.9 - 7.4m2/L)
- Dries to a high gloss, UV stable film.
- Can also be applied to old concrete, terrazzo, brick, and masonry tiles to dust proof and impart stain and chemical resistance.
- Clear Guard® PRO 350 lower VOC option (<350 g/L) available where required by law.

Color Guard™ Cure and Seal
- Available in 1 gallon (03.8 L) or 5 gallon (19.0 L) pails.
- A color-matched formulation for concrete that is colored with Butterfield Color® Uni-Mix® Colorant, Uni-Mix® Liquid Colorant, or Perma-Cast® Shake-on Color Hardener coloring systems.
- A solvent-based, VOC compliant (<700 g/L), non-yellowing, curing, and sealing compound for newly poured and existing concrete surfaces.
- A pigmented liquid (25% solids by weight), which dries to a high gloss, UV stable film and is available in solid or translucent colorations.
- Compatible with Clear Guard® Cure and Seal
- Color Guard™ PRO 350 lower VOC option available where required by law.

Clear Guard® H2O Water-Based Cure and Seal
- Available in 1 gallon (03.8 L) or 5 gallon (19.0 L) pails.

- Dries to a clear, high gloss, UV stable film.
- Suitable for residential or commercial projects, interior floors, and exterior hardscapes.
- May contribute to earning LEED® credits for indoor environmental quality.
Clear Guard® H2O Wet Look Water-Based Sealer
- Available in 1 gallon (03.8 L) or 5 gallon (19.0 L) pails.
- A water-based, VOC compliant (<100 g/L), non-yellowing, sealing compound for concrete surfaces.
